Playing with the Chicks

Josiah is getting more used to seeing Chicks at our house.... This one is named Parmigiana and she is a Buff Orpinton chick

Scarlet is a little bossy with the other chicks...and

got her name from Scarlet O'Hara...because she is kind of sassy!

(she is a Rhode Island Red Chick)

This one Josiah named Apple Juice...so we call her A.J.

This one is the sweetest and most cuddly of the bunch...Her name is Chloe.

Chicks!!

We got four baby chicks to raise for eggs....

I know.... I know... it is crazy because we live in a

housing development in the city

instead of in the country somewhere!!

...but, Jason has been researching raising chickens in the city and has always wanted to have some. These chicks are suppose to be quite and friendly...We will see!! It is all an experiment and if it doesn't work out we have friends who live on an acre lot and basically have a farm who said they will take them and they know what they are doing....

We are learning as we go and it is a lot of fun!

This is Jason's idea.... he is a country boy at heart and he would love

to have a whole farm one day!!

Bath time for Elizabeth & Josiah: Best Buddies!

Josiah got to spend quaility time with his cousin... for 4 days when she spent the week with us! They had so much fun giggling, playing cars, and going to the park together!!

Elizabeth is 3 and Josiah almost 2 .....

so, they are the perfect age to play and have fun together!

This is Josiah's cousin closest to the same age.... and they really have a great friendship!

They love to laugh together!! :) It is so cute to watch them play!!
