We got four baby chicks to raise for eggs....
I know.... I know... it is crazy because we live in a
housing development in the city
instead of in the country somewhere!!
...but, Jason has been researching raising chickens in the city and has always wanted to have some. These chicks are suppose to be quite and friendly...We will see!! It is all an experiment and if it doesn't work out we have friends who live on an acre lot and basically have a farm who said they will take them and they know what they are doing....
We are learning as we go and it is a lot of fun!
This is Jason's idea.... he is a country boy at heart and he would love
to have a whole farm one day!!

We have them in a box in our extra bedroom with a heat lamp....Hopefully Bailey Dog won't hurt them!
We Have Two Rhode Island Reds and Two Buff Orpingtons.
